  • Author: Sofia
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A warm, creamy, and savory appetizer featuring melted Velveeta cheese, Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, seasoned ground beef, and aromatic vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • ½ cup diced green peppers
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can Rotel Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies (Original)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 box Velveeta cheese cubes (16 oz)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef, diced onions, and diced green peppers in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the meat is fully cooked and vegetables are soft. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  2. Season the meat mixture with cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for one minute to release the aromas.
  3. Add the can of Rotel Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies and the milk to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low and add the Velveeta cheese cubes. Stir continuously until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Simmer for an additional 2 minutes until hot and bubbly. Remove from heat and serve immediately with chips.
