Description

A classic comfort dish featuring a perfectly seared ribeye steak topped with a velvety mushroom cream sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Ribeye steaks
  • 1 piece Yellow onion (diced)
  • 8 oz Cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Pat steaks dry, season with salt and pepper, and sear in hot oil until browned. Remove and rest.
  2. In the same pan, sauté onions and mushrooms until browned. Add garlic and thyme.
  3. Sprinkle flour over vegetables, stir, then slowly whisk in beef broth to deglaze and thicken.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, simmer briefly, remove from heat, and whisk in butter. Top with Swiss cheese to melt.
  5. Slice steaks and serve topped with the mushroom cream sauce.
