- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 16 oz cheese-filled ravioli (fresh or dried)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the ground meat in a skillet with olive oil, breaking it up until fully cooked and browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion to the meat and cook until soft. Stir in garlic, oregano, and basil; cook for 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer covered on low for 15-20 minutes to thicken.
- Boil ravioli in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- Toss drained ravioli into the sauce. Add pasta water if needed. Garnish and serve.
