Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with foil; cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for 2 minutes; add eggs one at a time and vanilla; whisk flour, baking soda, and salt separately then mix into wet ingredients until just combined; fold in 1 ½ cups chocolate chips and ½ cup M&M's, press dough into pan, top with remaining M&M's, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until edges are golden and center is set but soft; cool completely before slicing.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13-inch pan; beat butter and granulated sugar for 3 to 4 minutes until pale and fluffy; add eggs one at a time and vanilla; alternate adding dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt) and milk starting and ending with flour; fold in 1 ½ cups sprinkles, spread batter in pan, top with extra sprinkles, and bake for 22 to 26 minutes until top is lightly golden and toothpick comes out clean; cool in pan for 15 minutes then transfer to rack.
