Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
- In a small bowl, combine chopped bittersweet chocolate with boiling water; stir until smooth.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix sugars with buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet mixture; add melted chocolate until blended.
- Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
