Instructions

  1. Macerate strawberries by tossing them with sugar and letting them sit for 10–15 minutes to release juices. Drain well and coat with flour.

  3. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, combine sugars, butter, oil, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed. Fold in floured strawberries.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 55–65 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
