Description

Deliciously soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls topped with a creamy icing, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk (warm)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the icing over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
