  • 2 cups whole milk (cold)
  • 2 packages instant chocolate pudding mix (3.4 oz each)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package yellow cake mix (15.25 oz plus ingredients listed on box)
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 1 can crushed pineapple (20 oz, drained well)
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries (7 oz, drained and halved)
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 2 cups whole milk (cold)
  • 1 container frozen whipped topping (8 oz, thawed)
  • 1 box pound cake (7.9 oz, sliced into 1/2-inch cubes)
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 package instant peanut butter pudding mix (3.9 oz)
  • 2 cups whole milk (cold)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 cups Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (chopped into small pieces)
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz, softened)
  • Chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Crush 12 Oreos into fine crumbs and spread half in the bottom of a trifle bowl; whisk cold milk with instant chocolate pudding mix for 2 minutes until thickened and pour half over crumbs; arrange remaining 12 whole Oreos vertically or flat, then pour remaining pudding over them; beat chilled heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form; dollop cream over pudding, garnish with remaining crumbs, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  2. Toss sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and let sit for 30 minutes, draining half the liquid; bake yellow cake according to package directions at standard oven temperature until a toothpick comes out clean, cool completely, and cut into 1-inch cubes; whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla (and optional cream cheese) until fluffy; layer cake cubes, strawberry juice, macerated strawberries, and cream mixture in a trifle dish, finishing with cream; garnish with reserved strawberry fans and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Drain crushed pineapple thoroughly using a fine-mesh strainer; whisk instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened, then gently fold in thawed whipped topping and almond extract; layer pound cake cubes, half the pudding mixture, half the pineapple, and half the cherries in a trifle bowl; repeat layers with remaining cake, pudding, pineapple, and cherries; cover loosely and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  4. Whisk instant peanut butter pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes until thick, optionally folding in softened cream cheese and vanilla; beat heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form, then fold one-third into pudding followed by the rest; place chopped Reese's cups in the bottom of a trifle bowl, pour half the pudding over them, add another layer of chopped cups, and top with remaining pudding; garnish with reserved cup halves and chocolate shavings, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Keywords: Oreo Chocolate Trifle Tips: If the pudding seems too runny after mixing, let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken further; ensure your heavy cream is very cold before whipping for the best volume. Strawberry Shortcake Trifle Tips: Chill your mixing bowls and beaters before whipping the cream to ensure it reaches stiff peaks quickly; assemble the trifle no more than 4 hours ahead to prevent the cake from becoming too mushy. Pineapple Cherry Trifle Tips: Thoroughly draining the pineapple is critical to maintain structural integrity and prevent the pudding from becoming soupy; always use thawed whipped topping to avoid ice cry.
