Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
- Beat 1 cup butter and 1 ½ cups sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in 2 tsp vanilla.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Alternately add flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fill liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cupcakes completely on a wire rack.
- Beat ½ cup butter and 8 oz cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add 4 cups powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla.
- Frost cooled cupcakes and top with sprinkles.
