Ingredients

  • 1 cup dulce de leche or store-bought caramel sauce
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt; stir in melted butter and press firmly into the pan.
  3. Bake crust for 12-15 minutes until golden, then remove.
  4. Mix caramel with heavy cream, spread over warm crust, and bake for 5 minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate chips with butter and vanilla; pour over caramel and swirl with a toothpick.
  6. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into 16 bars.
