- 8 ounces provolone cheese (shredded or sliced)
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 large yellow onion (diced)
- 1 green bell pepper (seeded and diced)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package refrigerated pizza dough or bread dough (16 oz, thawed)
- 1 egg (beaten with 1 tablespoon water)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Sauté the vegetables and steak in a skillet until cooked and seasoned, then cool.
- Roll out the dough, spread the filling and cheese, and leave a border.
- Roll the dough tightly, seal the seam, slash the top, and brush with egg wash.
- Bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and internal temp is 165°F.
- Cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
