- 1 pound ground beef (450g)
- 1 medium yellow onion (finely diced)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 sheets pie crusts or roll dough
- 1 large egg (beaten with 1 tbsp water)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
- 3 tablespoons fresh parsley (finely chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Sauté diced onion in olive oil until soft. Add ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; cook until browned and drain excess fat. Stir in 1 cup of cheese and let cool slightly.
- Cut dough into squares. Place beef mixture in center of each square, fold edges up, and pinch to seal.
- Place rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then top with fresh parsley before serving.
