- 1 cup long-grain white rice, uncooked
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.75 ounces)
- 1.5 cups chicken broth
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
- 0.5 teaspoon paprika
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in melted butter until soft.
- Mix uncooked rice, soup, broth, aromatics, and seasonings in a large bowl.
- Pour mixture into the baking dish and top with cubed chicken.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Uncover, check rice tenderness, and bake longer if needed.
- Top with cheese and bake for 5-10 minutes until melted.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
