Description
Sweet rolls layered with savory deli ham, melted nutty Swiss cheese, and brushed with a tangy Dijon poppy seed butter glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 count)
- 3/4 pound thinly sliced deli ham
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Slice the entire block of rolls horizontally in half using a long serrated knife, keeping the individual rolls attached. Set the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.
- Layer 4 slices of Swiss cheese evenly over the bottom bread layer. Fold and distribute the sliced ham over the cheese, then lay the remaining 4 slices of Swiss cheese over the ham before placing the top roll slab over the filling.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and onion powder until smooth.
- Pour or brush the butter mixture evenly across the top and sides of the rolls, allowing it to drizzle into the crevices.
- Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 to 12 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing along the roll seams.

Keywords: You can substitute thinly sliced roast turkey or roast beef for the ham. Provolone, white cheddar, or Havarti can replace the Swiss cheese if you prefer a milder or sharper profile.
