Frosties

  • Author: Sofia
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Frosties are the ultimate treat for a quick pick-me-up, featuring variations like rich chocolate, fruity strawberry, nutty peanut butter, and classic cookies and cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe bananas (peeled and sliced into coins (frozen))
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk for a lighter option)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (adjust based on banana ripeness)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries (hulled)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 large frozen banana (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream (slightly softened or frozen banana)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chocolate sandwich cookies (roughly chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen banana slices, milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla extract to a high-speed blender; pulse three times to break up fruit chunks; add ice cubes and blend on high speed for 45 to 60 seconds until completely smooth and thick; if too thick, add an additional tablespoon of milk and pulse again; pour immediately into chilled glasses and serve right away while cold.
  2. Place the frozen strawberries, Greek yogurt, softened cream cheese, milk, honey, and vanilla into a blender; secure lid tightly and blend on low speed initially to crush frozen fruit; increase speed to high and blend for 60 seconds, stopping to scrape down sides if necessary; add ice cubes and continue blending until mixture reaches a slushy, pourable consistency; serve immediately in tall glasses, optionally garnished with fresh strawberry slices.
  3. Combine the frozen banana, milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and vanilla in a blender; blend on medium-high speed for 30 seconds to ensure peanut butter incorporates fully without streaks; add ice cubes and switch to high speed, blending for another 45 to 60 seconds; stop blender and check texture to ensure it is thick enough to hold a spoon but fluid enough to pour; pour into serving glasses and top with crushed peanuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  4. Place the vanilla ice cream (or frozen banana), milk, sugar, and vanilla extract into the blender; blend on low speed for 15 seconds to combine base ingredients into a smooth liquid; add half of the chopped cookies and pulse briefly just to distribute them without pulverizing completely; add remaining cookies and ice cubes, then blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds; pour immediately into glasses, ensuring each serving gets a good amount of cookie chunks.

Keywords: Ensure your bananas are fully frozen before starting; they should feel hard as rocks when touched. If using fresh bananas, freeze them for at least four hours prior to blending to achieve the correct icy texture.
