  • For frosting: 210g dairy-free block butter
  • 200g icing sugar
  • 20ml aquafaba
  • For decoration: Ground Oreo crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a cupcake tray with liners.
  2. Combine dairy-free milk and apple cider vinegar; let it curdle for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and bicarbonate of soda.
  4. Mix wet ingredients (curdled milk and oil) into dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into liners and bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
  6. Beat together butter and icing sugar for frosting; add aquafaba until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Frost cooled cupcakes, sprinkle with Oreo crumbs, add white chocolate buttons as eyes, and half Oreos as wings.
