Instructions

  1. Prepare the hard caramel by melting equal parts granulated sugar in a saucepan until golden brown. Pour onto parchment paper and cool before breaking into pieces.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together room-temperature butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Stir in vanilla extract.
