  • 100 g butter
  • 120 g sugar

Instructions

  2. Peel, core, and quarter the apples.
  3. In an ovenproof pan, melt butter and sugar over medium heat until golden brown. Add vanilla and salt if desired.
  4. Arrange quartered apples in the caramel, rounded side down; cook for 10–15 minutes until tender.
  5. Roll out puff pastry over the apples, tucking edges inside the pan.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
