  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice apple vinegar
  • 12 tbsp sriracha sauce (to taste)
  • 23 tbsp honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder (if using), and enough water to create a smooth batter.
  3. Coat each cauliflower floret in the batter and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by combining sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, sriracha, minced ginger, minced garlic, honey/maple syrup, cornstarch, and water in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened.
  6. Once baked, toss the cauliflower in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve garnished with sesame seeds and spring onions.
