  • 2 sticks butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups Red, White & Blue M&M'S (plus more for topping)
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips (plus more for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a 9×13 aluminum baking dish with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in M&M'S and chocolate chips; reserve some for topping.
  7. Transfer dough to prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Press additional M&M'S and chocolate chips on top.
  9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  10. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
