Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the diced bell pepper and onion for about 5 minutes until softened; set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of a loaf pan.
- Layer with 4 slices of provolone cheese followed by the sautéed vegetables.
