Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine 2 cups of dried hibiscus flowers, 4 cups of water, and 3/4 cup sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, cover the pan and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
  4. Strain the mixture through a colander to remove the flowers.
  5. Stir in the remaining 4 cups of water and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  6. Serve over ice for a refreshing drink.
