  • 1 demi baguette
  • ½ cup basil pesto
  • Gel food coloring (black)
  • 12 ounces cherry tomatoes

  • Balsamic vinegar glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Fill a silicone skull mold with mozzarella pearls and bake for 6-7 minutes until melted. Press down to shape and let cool.
  3. Increase oven temperature to 475°F. Halve cherry tomatoes, place cut-side down on parchment-lined sheet, drizzle with olive oil, season, and roast for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Slice the baguette into ½-inch pieces and toast in the oven for about 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.
  5. Mix basil pesto with black gel food coloring until desired color is achieved.
  6. Spread black pesto on toasted bread, return to oven for another 8-10 minutes until golden.
  7. Top each toast with roasted tomatoes and mozzarella skulls, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and garnish with fresh basil.
