Description

Greek fries are a delightful upgrade to your usual fries, infused with the bold flavors of dill and oregano. These oven-baked delights are topped with fresh red onion, parsley, and crumbly feta cheese, making them a perfect side dish or snack for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 medium red onion, finely chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash the Yukon Gold potatoes and cut them into uniform sticks about 1/3-inch wide.
  3. Soak the potato sticks in cold water for 10 to 15 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and dry thoroughly.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, salt, oregano, dill, black pepper, and garlic powder until coated.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the seasoned fries in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, flip the fries over, then bake for an additional 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once baked, transfer to a serving plate and top with parsley, red onion, and feta cheese.
  8. Serve warm with tzatziki sauce or lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor.
